This is what rap should be. This is what I like in rap - it either doesn’t take itself too seriously, or if it does, it has a meaning to it. A tutor I had last year, Heidie (who is a fucking nutcase, by the way) played this in a seminar as part of a week on colonialism, and afterwards she was all ‘Nobody objects to this?’ and shot me this stare, and I thought “Bitch, I fucking like this. I respect this. No I don’t object to it.”
